ERIK'S PAGE
At the bottom of this page, Erik will help you determine your age in "dog years"

Erik went to the Rainbow Bridge July 12, 2000. He apparently had another stroke, and although I cried a lot, we still had to take him to the vet and have him put to sleep.
He was my buddy for almost 17 years. He was a good boy -- I miss you buddy.

Erik is 16 1/2 now (born 1983) and unfortunately is showing a few signs of age. He has a little bit of a hip problem, and if it is dark out or the steps are slick, he likes to be carried down. But he is worth it, as he's a good boy. Mostly now he likes to lay around and catch up on all the naps he missed through the years.

Erik with his trophy, just after winning a weight pull. He's a daddy's boy.
Erik is one of those dogs who would do almost anything you ask of him.
He doesn't like "dress-up" but he would pull sleds, rigs, weight, floats, anything we asked him to.
He is a 7 state champion puller!

Erik making a pull. He was the first dog in our area to pull over 1000 pounds!

Erik, at age 14. He used to lay at the top of the stairs and wait for us to come up to bed. He would lay there with his two front feet hanging over the edge. When we came up, he would take a flying leap over the bed, and into his favorite thing - the BEANBAG!

Erik had his 16-1/2 birthday today, Feb. 15, 2000
He had sardines, A Norwegian Elkhound Favorite!!
